New Freudenberg Sealing Technologies Sustainability Report Now Available
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has published its Sustainability Report for 2025. It documents the progress, goals and measures in the areas of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and provides transparency on how sustainability is systematically integrated into strategy, processes and decision-making.
“Sustainability strengthens our performance. It promotes productivity and cost efficiency, makes us even more attractive as an employer, and opens up opportunities for innovations, markets and new business models,” says Dr. Matthias Sckuhr, Chief Executive Officer of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.
At Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, sustainability is not an add-on but part of the core business. The report shows how economic performance is combined with responsible and resource-friendly action. Climate protection is a key focus. Freudenberg Sealing Technologies pursues clear and measurable goals: From 2020 to 2025, it succeeded in reducing CO₂ emissions in tons per million euros of sales by more than the targeted 30 percent. The company’s long-term goal is to become climate-neutral by 2045 (Scope 1 and 2). The report outlines the necessary multi-stage strategy that focuses on reducing emissions, electrification and expanding renewable energies.
The Sustainability Report also highlights other key areas of action, such as the development of resource-efficient products and processes, fair and safe working conditions and the promotion of diversity and inclusion. This is supplemented by a further development of the ESG reporting systems, which help the company measure, manage and transparently communicate its sustainability performance.
