Dynamic Seals
Dynamic seals are used in applications with motion between the hardware component and the sealing solution. The motion can be rotary, translatory, reciprocating or oscillating. Effective dynamic seals need to maintain a balance between the sealing force, minimize the friction and furthermore prevent leakage.

Wipers Protect Pneumatic and Hydraulic Cylinders From Contaminants
In pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, wipers protect the interior of the cylinder against external contaminant, as the cylinder rod is retracting. Freudenberg Sealing Technologies offers the correct wiper for every kind of cylinder and application. These wipers offer maximum reliability and operating life, and can be customized with or without metal reinforcement, or as a double lip wiper with or without pressure relief.

Primary and secondary seals as well as the guides of modern sealing systems require reliable protection the use of wipers. Dirt, dust, moisture and other environmental influences must not contaminate the operating medium and must above all be kept away from the pressure-loaded sealing edges and other contact zones.

The DMRW 2 Wiper: The Pinnacle of Protection Against Dirt
The DMRW 2 from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies stands at the pinnacle of protection and reliability under extreme operating and environmental conditions. It is a double lip wiper that is equipped with both metal reinforcement and pressure relief.
Its material is advanced. The DMRW 2 is made from a new polyurethane developed by Freudenberg Sealing Technologies that has outstanding wear resistance, high chemical resistance and broad temperature range capabilities.

Rod guide rings, made of fabric-based laminate with chamfered profile edges. Also suited to standardized installation spaces in accordance with ISO 19766.
Merkel® Wiper PU 6/PH 6
Single-action polyurethane wiper with supporting segments. Additional static seaing edge for a strong protective effect.
Merkel® Double Wiper P 8
Double-action elastomer wiper that performs the wiping function of a U-ring internally and the wiping effect against contamination externally.
Merkel® Double Wiper P 9
Double-action elastomer wiper that performs the wiping function of a U-ring internally and the wiping effect against contamination externally. Especially suited to use in large cylinders.
Merkel® Double Wiper PT 1
Consisting of two O-rings as pretensioning element and a PTFE profile ring with one wiper and one seal edge to improve the overall leak tightness of the sealing system.

Merkel® Double Wiper PU 11
With a formed wiper lip (double lip wiper). The seal lip, which is directed inward, fulfills the function of a U-ring. Use especially in connection with an Omegat rod seal.
